HOWARD STERN makes a rare public appearence, after slipping into obscurity, courtesy his satellite radio show. He was coming and going to the Letterman Show. Many visiting fans, except planted paid fans with desperate satellite radio advertising signs, seemed surprised that HOWARD actually existed. Few seemed to care. One puzzled young fan asked who the man with the clown hair was.
